Mt. Rigi Combo Tour
Mt. Rigi is also referred to as our Swiss Family Mountain since a moderate walk of about 1 hour can be included! The type of ticket you have lets you do the Mt. Rigi Combo Tour (Mountain and Lake) free of charge today.In order to do this combo tour, you would head to the train station and take any train to Arth-Goldau (leaving at :06, :18 and :40 of every hour). Upon arrival in Arth-Goldau you are walking for 5 minutes to catch the cogwheel train up to Rigi Kulm (follow blue signs). If you like and time permitting, you can take a snack, lunch or coffee at the restaurant on top of Rigi Kulm before walking across the plateau direction Rigi Kaltbad (if you don't want to walk there is a train also). Then upon arriving in Rigi Kaltbad I recommend you to take the cogwheel train down to Vitznau from where you have a connection via boat back to Lucerne. You can also take the cable car down to Weggis, but that will shorten your boat ride back to Lucerne.
