Excursion to Mt. Gornergrat

Discover a top-class natural paradise: the Gornergrat Bahn takes you from Zermatt up the 3089 m high Gornergrat. Through aromatic stone pine and larch forests and across alpine meadows in summer time full of flowers and in winter time deeply snow-capped you arrive in the midst of 29 snow and ice-covered four-thousand-meter-high mountains.

> You have the excursion Mt. Gornergrat according to received voucher included. You would start this excursion by heading to the base station of the Gornergrat Bahn which is very close to the main train station and not far from your hotel. You will have to exchange your voucher for a real ticket at the base station. It is a cogwheel train up to the Gornergrat where you will find a restaurant with a terrace from which you have best views of the Matterhorn. Trains leave every 24 minutes.

You can also opt to walk back down to Zermatt. There are many mountain path which are dotted with park benches and a few restaurants!
