Brig
Located in the Upper Valis, Brig is a major town at the crossroads of the main Alpine routes, leading over the Simplon, Furka, Grimsel and Nufenen passes and through the Lötschberg Tunnel.
A Roman settlement once stood at the river in Brig. The town takes its name from the bridges than span the river.
Brig is well known for its own thermal baths, making it an attractive holiday resort.

Stockalperpalast - Stockalper Palace
One of the most important baroque palaces in Switzerland, built in from 1658 until 1678. The palace houses various offices and a history museum. The building is set with three tall square towers crowned by cupolas known as Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar.

Old Town
Find aristocratic houses, a pilgrimage and collegiate church and Sebastians Chapel.

Brigerbad
Relax in one of the biggest open-air thermal spa centres in Switzerland, just 6 km from Brig. It has a spa grotto swimming pool, water chute (182 m), fresh water and Olympic pools. Take bus no 511 from Brig Station.
